Who are we?
With an outstanding background as a professional player and many years of teaching experience,
ELGK Academy Director, Yilmaz Aksoy, brings both his passion and his expertise to the field, helping the next generation of goalkeepers to believe and achieve!
ELGK was founded in 2015 following the lack of professional goalkeeping coaching available to young children in London. The Academy endorses a comprehensive approach, understanding the role that sport plays in many people's lives. Coaches at ELGK Academy aim to create an environment that best develops young goalkeepers, allowing each individual to express themselves regardless of their background or knowledge. ELGK Academy is an academy which tries to not only educate goalkeepers with the fundamental skills required to be the best goalkeeper, but also to teach the fundamental skills to take away as an individual; learning in all areas.
We at ELGK Academy have an Academy philosophy of providing a positive experience for all of our goalkeepers, delivering sessions that encompass all areas of the 4-corner teaching model: we consider the technical, physical, psychological and social elements of all of the goalkeepers. This allows each individual to express themselves and develop their skills further.
